Staying one night in the São Jorge eco-camp was a highlight of my trip! The camp itself is creative and charming — built from recycled materials, full of color, and surrounded by peaceful nature. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, and the communal bathrooms, though shared, were spotless and comfortable.

That evening, after arriving, we toured a local grogue factory and visited a beautiful botanical garden full of native plants. In the morning, Maria showed us how to make pão de coco, teaching us each step of the recipe (kneading, baking, tasting!). Lunch the next day was included, and we drove back to Praia feeling full, inspired, and connected to Cape Verdean culture.

This stay is perfect for travelers who want more than just a bed — it’s a full experience of village life, nature, and local cuisine.
