This is definitely the most demanding trekking experience in terms of both effort and time. It is suitable for experienced hikers who enjoy adventure and a strong contact with nature. Bordeira is the chain of rocks that protects Chà das Caldeiras.

After the pick-up at your hotel you will reach Fernão Gomes, at the entrance to the Monte Velha forest ;this will be the starting point of the trek. Along the way there will be a few stops so you can hydrateAfter about 9 hours of trekking you will arrive at a place called ‘Lapa’ where there is a volcanic cave (this is where you will spend the night). On the second day, we will leave Lapa and reach the entrance to the Natural Park with another approximately 9-hour walk. In addition to the main guide, there will be a second guide who will cook for you.
